The Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers finally did it; they traded Markelle Fultz. To that I say good for Markelle Fultz. The Seventy-Sixers did two things with Markelle Fultz:
Not let him heal.
Not develop him.
The Seventy-Sixers finally traded him to the Orlando Magic, where Fultz can get the fresh start he not only needs, but deserves. I like the move; he will be going to a young team where he can build chemistry with the other young guys, and he will have time to shine as one the young guys in the NBA. The Magic, however, cannot do what Philadelphia did. The Magic need to make sure that their potential star not only gets 100% healthy, but they should also develop him. Once Fultz is healthy, send him to the G-League affiliate the Lakeland Magic and develop the kid. THE G-LEAGUE IS NOT A DEMOTION. IT IS MEANT TO DEVELOP YOUNG TALENT.
Please Orlando, please don’t follow the steps of Philadelphia. I still believe in Markelle Fultz, and you do too or you wouldn’t have given up Jonathon Simmons, a first round pick, and a second round pick. Treat him right, Orlando!
