My March Madness Predictions

I am 4-0 in my predictions so far. I realize the First Four “don’t count” (which is stupid), but anyways, I am still 4-0. This is how I will think the tournament will go this year.

Round of 64 winners:

Duke, UCF, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, LSU, Louisville, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Syracuse, Murray State, Vermont, Buffalo, Texas Tech, Nevada, Michigan, Virginia, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kansas State, Villanova, Purdue, Cincinnati, Tennessee, North Carolina, Washington, New Mexico State, Iowa State, Houston, Seton Hall, and Kentucky.

Round of 32:

Duke, Virginia Tech, LSU, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Murray State, Buffalo, Michigan, Virginia, Oregon, Villanova, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kansas, Iowa State, and Kentucky.

Sweet 16:

Duke, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Buffalo, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

Elite 8:

Duke, Buffalo, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

Final Four:

Duke and North Carolina.

National Championship:

North Carolina Tar Heels.

Score:

72-69.

I think this tournament is going to be fun this year. I do expect big surprises coming out of this tournament. I could actually see big seeded teams get eliminated early or in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds because there are many under valued teams in this year’s tournament. I do think, however, that North Carolina will win the National Championship over Duke. North Carolina dominated and defeated Duke already this year (Duke was Zion-less,) but when Zion did play North Carolina they only beat them by one point, not that much of a difference maker. I think North Carolina will be ready for Duke this time around and will get the job done.

Teams To Watch:

Murray State- Ja Morant (especially for Chicago Bulls fans)

Buffalo- Always an under appreciated and under estimated team coming into the tournament.

New Mexico State- For some reason I can never bet against New Mexico State in the first round, and rarely do they let me down.

Oregon- The hottest team in the tournament right now other than Duke. Oregon has a big man, too, Bol Bol. Louis King is a player to think highly of, too.

Texas Tech- Jarrett Culver could use this tournament to climb draft boards this upcoming summer. Matt Mooney is a sharp shooter as well.

Tennessee- Not an under appreciated team in this tournament, but I do think Tennessee will go further than expected, especially with Admiral Schofield leading the team.

Kentucky- They are always a team to watch.

Iowa State- Sneaky team, just ask Kansas.

Vermont- Just because of last year.

UCF- Tacko Fall.

Seton Hall: They are a tournament team.

Players to watch:

Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish, RJ Barrett, Tre Jones, Jarrett Culver, Tacko Fall, Matt Mooney, Bol Bol, Louis King, Admiral Schofield, Ja Morant,Tyus Battle, Jarron Cumberland, Rui Hachimura, Ashton Hagans, De’Andre Hunter, Anthony Lamb, CJ Massinburg, Dedric Lawson, Sam Merrill, Myles Powell, Marial Shayok, Coby White, Grant Williams, Cassius Winston, Keldon Johnson, PJ Washington, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Talen Horton-Tucker, Tyler Herro, and Nassir Little.
