Highly discussed sports prospect Kyler Murray had a decision to make: baseball or football? MLB or NFL? And the reigning 9th overall MLB Draft pick by the Oakland A’s and the reigning Heisman Trophy Winner chose the NFL. This is a bold choice by the 5’9 QB from Oklahoma, but I do think Kyler Murray will be good if drafted to the right team. I think there are three teams that he could have success with: the Jaguars, Washington, and the Dolphins. Other teams, like the Broncos and Giants, will need time to develop a team around him to be successful.
This move by Murray is a big one, and nothing says that if he were to bust in the NFL that he couldn't go and play in the MLB. It wouldn’t be a good look for the MLB, but I am sure they would gladly accept him. Then again, football has options now; if he weren’t to have a great career in the NFL there is always the AAF option and of course the XFL option, which is rumored to be offering competitive salaries with the NFL. Kyler Murray, the world is your oyster.
