Josh Johnson: Two League Athlete II

Josh Johnson did it. He kept Washington alive in the hunt for the NFC Playoffs. Johnson, a journeyman QB who hasn't started since 2011, helped Washington to a victory over the Jaguars 16-13. Johnson himself went 16 of 25, with 151 yards and one touchdown. Ultimately it was Washington's kicker, Dustin Hopkins, who sealed the victory, but it was Johnson who led the team. His stats weren't out of this world, but it was enough.

In an interview, he said that, "Every opportunity could be his last." This is a QB with absolutely nothing to lose; this Washington team was destined to be a bottom pick with Smith injured, but other injuries and bad performances led to the signing of Josh Johnson, a QB with nothing to lose. Now, Washington will 100% be drafting their new franchise QB in the upcoming draft; they would be stupid not to. But Josh Johnson is not letting that take this opportunity from him; he is going out there to win and get Washington in the playoffs. This Washington team can even still win the NFC East. They need to win out and with a QB who knows his time is limited, they could do exactly that.

All I know is, if I am the San Diego Fleet of the AAF (Alliance of American Football), I am salivating. Their franchise QB, Josh Johnson, is playing for an average NFL team and winning. Yes, it is one game, but they have two games left: the Titans, and you never know which Titans team is going to show up and the Eagles, who have been a major disappointment in 2018. But, with Nick Foles, who knows, maybe the Eagles will do it again. All I know is that those last two teams don't have the "don't give fuck" attitude Josh Johnson has; that in itself gives Washington an edge. Give the inaugural AAF championship to the San Diego Fleet if this Josh Johnson shows up to play. Josh Johnson two league athlete. Josh Johnson, a man with nothing to lose.
